Notting Hill Courtyard Extension

This courtyard infill extension in Notting Hill was delivered across concept design, planning, and technical design stages within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

The project introduces a fully glazed extension to a lower ground floor apartment, maximising daylight into the kitchen and dining areas facing a rear courtyard.

Working within a constrained urban site and a sensitive planning context, MADE OF SPACE successfully secured planning consent for two applications and guided the client through the discharge of planning conditions and Building Control processes.

The extension adds approximately 15m² of high-quality internal space, demonstrating how targeted interventions can significantly enhance light and usability in dense central London properties.
