* The FA (Football Association) was formed in 1863 and drew up the “Laws of the Game”, which are the basis of modern football played around the world today. Shortly after their formation, an inaugural match with the new rules was held in Battersea Park, London. The teams were made up of players chosen by Arthur Pember, the first FA president, and by Ebenezer Cobb Morley, the then secretary and initial author of the “Laws of the Game”

** designed by @wearepopulous, the specialists in sports venue architecture

*** The book offers some background information and technical guidance as well as an impressive catalogue of stadium drawings
